Connecting these robots to an AI assistant is experimental. So far we've done one early test: an AI assistant connected through its mobile app to a home-built Raspberry Pi 3 robot, with replies taking about 8 seconds. We haven't yet tested any of the robots we list, so it may not work on them. It needs some setup (bridge code on the robot's Raspberry Pi) and some technical skill. Expect a delay of several seconds between you speaking and the robot replying or moving. You'll need an AI API key or subscription, which may cost money per use.
Everything on this site is general information to help you choose and set up a home robot. It isn't professional, technical, electrical, safety or legal advice. Check the manufacturer's own instructions before you build, charge or use a robot.
We don't sell, make or support any of the robots we feature. You buy from the seller on Amazon, and the robots are made by their manufacturers. Your legal rights and Amazon's returns policy apply. Questions about orders, delivery, returns, refunds, faults and warranty go to the seller, Amazon or the manufacturer.
The guides and our copy-the-setup-prompt text are provided as they are. We can't promise they'll work with every robot or AI, or that they're free of errors. AI assistants can give wrong or unsafe instructions, so check each step yourself.
Check any code before you run it. Don't expose the robot or bridge to the internet.
To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for any damage, injury, data loss, costs or other loss that comes from following our guides, using our setup prompt, or building, charging or using a robot.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that can't be excluded or limited under English law.
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
If you connect a robot to an AI service, any images, audio or text the robot sends to that service are handled by that service under its own terms and privacy policy, not ours. Homebody Bots never receives them. Our own handling of personal data is explained in our privacy policy.
Grok Bot is a trade mark of its owner. Amazon and the Amazon logo are trade marks of Amazon.com, Inc. or its affiliates. Robot names belong to their makers. Homebody Bots isn't affiliated with or endorsed by any of these companies. The robot pictures on this site are our own illustrations, not product photos.

We may update these terms from time to time. We'll change the "last updated" date at the top when we do. The version on this page when you use the site is the one that applies.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you're a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts, and you keep the protection of your local law.
