๐Ÿ‘‹ About us

Proper homebodies.

We think AI assistants are more fun with legs (or wheels). Homebody Bots helps you pick an affordable robot, connect it to an AI assistant with some setup, and be honest about what it can and can't do.

Who we are

Homebody Bots is a small UK site. We're independent of the robot makers and AI companies we mention, but we do earn commission from Amazon when you buy through our links. It's a trading name of Pumpkin Web Design Ltd (company no. 07992241, registered office 1 Starkie Chambers, Lancaster Road, Preston, England, PR1 1DA).

How we choose bots

  • Affordable. Hundreds of pounds, not thousands.
  • A camera and Wi-Fi, so your AI can see and you can check in.
  • Well documented, with the maker's own guides and examples.
  • Hackable, ideally built on a Raspberry Pi, so it can be connected to an AI assistant with some setup.

How we make money

When you buy through our "View on Amazon" links, Amazon pays us a small commission at no extra cost to you. No robot maker pays us to feature them. Read our affiliate disclosure.

Not affiliated

We mention AI assistants such as Grok Bot as examples. Grok is a trade mark of xAI. Amazon and the Amazon logo are trade marks of Amazon.com, Inc. or its affiliates. Robot names belong to their makers. Homebody Bots isn't affiliated with or endorsed by them.

Our promise

  • Honest about limits. These are fun, helpful robots, not security systems, and we'll always say so.
  • No paid placements. No maker pays us to feature their robot. If that ever changes, it'll be clearly labelled.
  • Kept up to date. Robots and listings change. We review our picks regularly and update the pages when they do.
  • Corrections welcome. Spotted something out of date or wrong? Tell us and we'll fix it.

Where to start

New here? Start with the bots to find the right one for you, then see how it works and grab the free setup prompt. If you mainly want an extra pair of eyes around the house, read peace of mind first.
